Hotel Wi-Fi in London: K West Hotel and Spa gets a B

Posted by: Esme Vos In: Technology| Workanywhere

I am in London for the Wireless Event UK, organized by Piers Bearne. I’m staying at the K West Hotel and Spa, a design hotel in Shepherd’s Bush, not far from the Olympia Convention Center in Kensington. This hotel charges 10 UK pounds per day for Wi-Fi, which is high, considering they already charge 160 UK pounds per day for a room. The download speed is pretty good (6.3 Mbps) but the upload speed is poor (686 Kbps), but not as bad as at Schiphol Airport.
