The conventional wisdom is that Apple has only about 5 percent of the market for personal computers. It appears that if you break down that market two segments, the sub-$1000 and the $1000-plus, that Apple has a massive 66 percent of the market for expensive computers. That means people who have enough money spend, go for Apple. That also means that people spend more on Apple peripherals, software and other devices.
