GoDonor.org is the first affiliate network for charities. Started by Julian Sarokin in December 2010 in Beverly Hills, California, the aim of the site is to help charities raise money quickly. To see how GoDonor works, check out their introductory video. Below is the Q&A with founder, Julian Sarokin.

Q: What does GoDonor.org offer charities?
A: GoDonor is the first affiliate network that works exclusively with charities. Affiliate Marketing is the most effective and cost efficient way for charities to raise money as it costs them nothing. No time, no money. They sign up, publishers pay for all advertising costs, and charities only see profits. Americans alone donated over $295 billion dollars last year and there is no company other than ours in the affiliate marketing space that caters to this huge market.

Q: What inspired you to start GoDonor?
A: The inspiration behind GoDonor came when I started out as a publisher. I saw how much and how quickly money could be made online, but at the end of the day, no good was coming from it. In my mind, not only was combining affiliate marketing with charity fundraising a no brainer, but it also could help get money to charities quicker which would in turn allow them to help the world become a better place.

Q: How does GoDonor make money?
A: We take a small percentage of the commissions generated by our publishers.

Q: Where do you see GoDonor in a year?
A: In a year we will have a large enough group of publishers and charities to be generating a large amount of steady revenue. We will also probably be entertaining acquisitions from industry leaders such as ValueClick inc. and Google, who are looking to enter charity affiliate marketing after seeing the success that GoDonor is having in the space.

Q: Are you self-funded?
A: Yes.
