My friend, Salim Ismail, has posted a review of Maxroam, a service that allows you to cut down dramatically on your roaming charges when you travel abroad. I have yet to use it (although I have a Maxroam SIM card). Maxroam saved Salim a lot of money: $185 during a two-week trip.

Nokia has just released two E Series smartphones, the E71 (pictured above) and the E66. I prefer the E71 because it has a QWERTY keyboard.
